Tommy was home yesterday, because it was a holiday. (Did Danny have Martin Luther King Day off?) It was good to have him hear, playing his retro favorite music and adding his body heat to the general cold of the house. (The food storage room is freezing). I'm reading another new book written like a fairytale, and I can't seem to get away from the fireplace.....Our cars are filthy. But even the windshield fluid freezes when you spray it, so we will wait for the inevitable thaw and drought to clean cars. We went to the Chinese Buffet last night for Family Home Evening, and Tommy wore flip flops and shorts. He has tough legs and feet.
He told us a funny joke on Jon Stewart's news show. Bush is increasing the troops in Iraq by 15% and Jon Stewart said that that is a "tip, and gratuity, not an increase!". There have been some funny satires about the war and Bush lately. It's good to laugh, 'cause what else can we do?
Alex writes tonight (Tuesday) at about 8:30-9:30. So if you get a chance, write him. There's no substitute for hearing from his brothers.
We miss you all and look forward to being together soon.
Love, Mom
