Hello family from Sandy.  I have officially joined facebook.  I've avoided it for years, but dad and I are attending a ward downtown on Sundays and it seems like a good way to keep in touch with the girls I have worked with here.  We have been assigned to the McKinley Ward on 1800 South West Temple.  Surprisingly, there is a nice neighborhood there with tree-lined streets and tidy small homes.  There are lots of needs with the apartments and special-needs housing in the area.  We'll see how it goes.  So far it's been pleasant.  We are officially missionaries.  Name tags and all.  We assist the Bishop in the welfare needs of the ward.

I had a great time in Seattle with the boys and I miss them a lot.  They are so entertaining.  Without them I wouldn't have held baby earless goats!  We visiting Papa Herb and Grandma and had a wonderful time.  I realize now that we never watched a show.  Their dvd player was broken (at the ranch).  We read a lot of books, played baseball and lots of football, ate lemonheads until my tongue swelled up.  Danny and Jenni seemed to have a happy good time in Europe.  They loved their visit to Poland and Paris.  I think they missed the boys a lot.

So much has happened since we returned.  Dad has been helping Tyler finish his move to Kaysville and fixing the clutch on their Toyota.  We should be doing yardwork, but it's cold today.  There is plenty of time for that.  Alex and Brynna returned safely and separately from New York.  Brynna's flight was delayed by storms in the Midwest.  She was rerouted after much insisting, to New York City, and then flew home.  They found good housing in Ithaca and are excited to live there.  Alex is defending his thesis and wrapping things up at BYU.  We're glad to have them for the summer.

Rilee's brother Cameron was married last weekend.  I think she really enjoyed the days in Idaho with all of her family.  She's back to work and school.  We haven't seen Tommy yet, but I'm sure he's busy at work.

I read "My Friend Flicka" while I was at the ranch.  It's fun to reread books that I loved as a child.  It was perfectly enjoyable.

We talked to Agata and Travis on Sunday.  I think it's been cold again in Warsaw.  They are both enjoying their jobs.  Agata just returned from a conference with her co-workers and boss held in a run-down palace.  They were all to nervous to turn the lights off at night.  She will be getting her drivers license soon.

Tyler and Dawn are doing well.  Tyler is trying to make his restaurant profitable and competitive.  It's a bit of work.  They are doing a lot of work on their yard.  It was quite neglected.  There's a park by their house that they go to each day.  I hope to see them this week.

I realize that I need to change my email connected to this blog so that I can post pictures from my I-phone.  I have some cute picture of the boys in Seattle.  I'll try to do that.

Keep in touch!
