March 31

It snowed all day today. What's up with "in like a lion, out like a lamb?" It's supposed to snow tomorrow.

Spring in Sandy

Hello Family,

We have had some pretty typical March weather here: it changes all of the time. I'm glad for the rain and I put up with the snow. We all celebrate the warmer sunny days.

Tommy and Rilee are so busy. Tommy could probably work twelve hours a day on his job. They are looking at apartments and buying furniture. The wedding list is about finished. Hopefully invites will go out this week. Rilee tries her dress on tomorrow. I trust Rilee is doing well in school. We don't talk about it much.

Alex is busy. He and Brynna went to the Hindu festival in Spanish Fork, the color festival. He said it was a popular event. He leaves for Thailand the night of the wedding.

Tyler and Dawn and the girls are busy. Dawn isn't getting as much sleep as she would like. Lilah loves her Mommy and seems to make up for lost time during the night. Laurel is very independent and talking a lot. She loves to explore and asks to go see "boys" all of the time. Usually she is right. There are noisy boys playing somewhere outside. Tyler is busy at the restuarant and with the girls at home. He is so patient with his daughters and they love him. Saturday was NCAA finals in Salt Lake and the restaurant was slammed.

Travis and Agata are living with friends. Agata leaves for Poland on the 13th of April. She has some important work to do researching in France. Travis is going to Europe about a month later, I think. They will look for a new apartment when they get back. (and new stuff.) We will miss their cute apartment. They will not miss all of the problems that came with it. They are definitely off to the next adventure.

Jenni has her cast off. She's glad about that. But her arm still hurts. Her Dad has been visiting this weekend. She said the weather was gorgeous and they were going to the beach. Seattle Springs are so beautiful! They had a picnic on campus during cherry blossom time with Agata and Travis.

Dad and I are trying to get the garden and yard in some kind of shape. Dad's work is going well. He enjoys it. They did some major re-organizing, but it has had little negative effect. I'm busy doing the everyday things. I look forward to a very special time with the wedding and everyone here.

Hope you are all well and happy. We love you! I

Happy March Birthday, Agata!

Happy Birthday Agata! Sorry we missed the actual date. We have been experiencing bad weather here in the form of the stomach flu and head colds (and cold, wet rain and snow). We hope you had a fun day. We love you and wish we could spend more time together.

Tommy has started work. He and Rilee are so busy with school and wedding. The wedding is about seven weeks (maybe eight). I thought that when the Spring bulbs are up, there will be a wedding, and they are starting to come up.

Jenni has a broken elbow. She and Danny went mountain biking at a park and had a great time until she fell on her elbow. At times like this (well, at all times) I wish we lived closer. This is going to be very frustrating for her.

Sunday we had a chance to bless Laurel and Lilah in our home with the Bishops here from our ward and from the ward by Tyler and Dawn's house. We had a St. Patrick's Day dinner afterwards. We figured that Dawn is quite Irish and I'm some Irish, so it seemed appropriate. We had a wonderful day. Alex and Brynna stayed Saturday night and got up early (daylight savings time) for church with me. Tommy and Rilee were here later. Before we knew it, it was 10:00 p.m. It felt exactly like 9:00 p.m. We still needed an hour or so to wind down before bed.
We haven't really seen the sun all winter. This is all going to be a shock. I'm going to REI to buy a sun hat. I don't think I can take it.

We are going to miss Agata at the wedding. I think Travis is planning on going to Poland for the summer. He will be here in May for the wedding. Brynna is coming and Alex is staying until the night of the wedding dinner. Then he is off to Thailand for the summer. Danny and Jenni and boys will be here. I look forward to Jenni's advice, enthusiasm and encouragement.

Danny asked what Dennis and I had planned for the summer. My plans go up to May 6 and no further. I dream of seeing you all and having some great memories. I think Travis and Dennis are talking about a fifty-miler in the Uintahs which I suspect could be turned into a Washington hike. I would like to go crash on a beach bed on the Caribbean and order a limoda.

Grandpa's 80th birthday is coming up, March 30, I think.

We love you all!

News from Utah

Tommy got a job with McCann Agency in Salt Lake. It was his top choice. Congratulations!

The wedding is in about nine weeks.

Tyler just survived two days of stomach flu. It was awful and over, I hope.

Rilee has the Hunger Banquet twice this week.

Alex is home from Thailand. What a strange experience he had. (ask him). It was good to have him arrive home healthy and on time.

My toes are healed and I miss the beautiful place we visited in Mexico.

Dennis is way too busy at work.

I'm grateful for Christmas and the Olympics. Great way to get through winter. But I wish I could get "O Canada" out of my head. (they played it a lot!)

Hope all is well with you!

Love, Mom
