"L" obsession

As I appear at your blog for the first time I believe that a little introduction and acknowledgments are more then appropriate. Just hope it won’t be one of these weepy Oscars Night speeches.

First of all I’d like to thank all of you who didn’t protest about me posting at your blog. I really do apprieciate and I think that this is a very good way for us to get to know each other a little bit more personally (I bet you are all tired of Travis’ stories about me, my Mom is so fed up with me talking about Travis all the time that she decided to learn English in order to speak with him personally (so far she mastered a very useful sentence „I don’t understand”).

Second, you have to prepare yourselves for reading odd „English” phrases with grammar, lexical or whatever you call them, mistakes. I do believe that besides being annoying it can also be charming.

So now, news from Poland, Lodz – I have some kind of „L” obsession these last days and I realised that all I’m actually doing is Learning, Learning, Learning.

I am supposed to take my GRE test in October and believe me - that is not an easy task for a foreigner. Basically, I spend like 6 hours every day on memorising words like „ idiosyncrasy, assessment, prostine, proclivity”- which are, I’m strongly convienced, these kind of words that you need to use every single day when you go shopping.

Yesterday I decided to start practicing for the quantitative section, which was slightly better although when it comes to tasks about probability I’m absolutely bemused. I wouldn’t like to neglect the existence of talented Polish mathematiciens, I’m sure there are a lot of them as Travis’ Dad told me once but apparently I’m not that Polish in this case.

I’m going back to France , Lille this week, as I have to pass my final oral exam to accomplish my Master of Culture Management. Then I will drop in London for a very important job interview. They asked me to come after I had contacted the Polish Cultural Institute there to ask if they had any vacancies. I care a lot about this job this would definitely be awsome to work for them. ( Quesiton for women readers – what should I wear for this interview to make them think that I’m professional but not dull at the same time???).

Well, I quess that’s it, more or less what happens in my life at the moment. Of course there is also another „L” obsession – the one of Longing, but that is a whole different story.
