Hallo,

Well, life in Travis-land continues as always. Nothing to interesting to add just thought Id post because no one has in a while. Im really enjoying my new job as a writing tutor, the only real problem being that it is only 8 hours a week. We deal mainly with ESL students, which is extremely challenging but fun. We've learned all sorts of interesting techniques for doing it, such as that teaching grammar has been thoroughly proven to not do any good and in fact harms student writers often enough, and that when somebody makes what looks like a "grammar fault" more often than not they are the ones being logical and it is the English language which is being characteristically silly and irregular. Other than that just sweating through my courses, probably going to quick the Chrony as a time-hog, and worrying constantly about my grad school applications. University of Washington is looking more and more like a great choice, they have a really strong Eastern Europe institute and good all-around history program, so Danny and Jenni if you stay in the area hopefully you'll have company!! Now wouldn't that be all nice and fun?
